REGULAR SOCIALS

Every Wednesday our club attends Sheffield University student Union sports night ROAR!  

The evening usually starts with a bar crawl down West Street visiting our sponsored bars such as Tiger Works and Billy Big balls before heading to Bar One and ROAR!

Our Wednesday socials are usually themed organsied by our social secs! 

Popular past themes include: Anything But Clothes, Grannies and Babies and Pub Golf 

Some socials are just Sabrecats, but for bigger socials such as charity socials we include Pom Cheer and the Sabres! 

SOBER SOCIALS

We will never put pressure on anyone to drink alcohol or feel like they have to during socials and we don't hold fresher initations for joining our club. Our aim is to always hold socials that will be enjoyable for everybody.  

We hold sober socials throughout the year clubwide and within indidual squads to socialise outside of cheer training and on a night out. 

Sober socials We've done in the past include: Pottery painting, Ninja warrior and team meals. 

CHEER CHRISTMAS BALL

Every December we have a joint Christmas Ball with Pom Cheer and American Football Sabres!

This Evening is a Black Tie event where we celebrate semester one coming to an end and get into the Christmas spirit!

ALUMNI WEEKEND

Every April we invite all our alumni back to Sheffield for a weekend to catch up and celebrate the success of the past year. 

This weekend we are also joined with American Football Sabres and their alumni!

The weekend starts with our social awards to celebrate the past year of socials

Then its the cheer bowl where Cheerleaders try a game of American Football, whilst the footballers cheer them on and perform a cheer routine at halftime. The sabre alumni also play a game of American football and we finish the afternoon with a BBQ at CVP.

The weekend ends with a Summer ball to celebrate Sabre and Sabrecats past year with the alumni.
